Be The Future Festival

Commissioned by the Municipality of Rotterdam, I documented multiple editions of the Be The Future Festival.

In 2024, the festival took place in Wijkpark Oude Westen in Rotterdam. In 2025, the event expanded to Rotterdam Ahoy, where thousands of Year 8 pupils once again gathered to celebrate the transition to secondary school.

The festival combines education, music, and experience, aiming to inspire young people and prepare them for a new phase in their lives.

During both editions, I created a photographic reportage focusing on the energy of the crowd, the atmosphere of the event, and the performances. I captured both the interaction between visitors and the performances of artists such as Frenna, Broederliefde, Kleine John, and Chavanté.

My focus lies on documenting moments where experience, music, and the audience come together and the story of the event becomes visible.

The images are used for the festival's communication and promotion, and contribute to the visibility and development of the project.
